Ramomar

Ramomar/Omar Buckley was born in Kingston Jamaica in 1986. After coming to the United States he attended the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan.  He studied  Illustration and Fine Art at the Fashion Institute of Technology and also attended the prestigious  National Academy School of Fine Arts in New York City. He began drawing at the age of 4 and has always been fascinated by the art of storytelling.

In high school he began his studies in the art of comics and story telling and figures in popular culture.  He moved on to the inspiration of the art of the 19th century that led him to study the European masters such as Rembrandt, Titian, Sargent, Van Dyke, and Monet.  He is also taken by the Renaissance masters such as Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and later William Bouguereau.

What fascinated him the most was the silent images left by the ancient cultures and the mystery of the message these cultures were wishing to pass down through time. With this he began independently studying the arts of all the ancient cultures especially those in Africa including Nubia , Egypt/Kemet,  Mayans,  Incas,  Olmecs,  Babylonian,  Persians , India, Cambodia, China, Japan, Greece and Rome to unlock the secrets they left behind in Art, Architecture and symbol. He totally immersed himself in study, which began revealing memories of the past.

In isolation he began unraveling the codes that the ancients were striving to preserve for eternity, which was the immortal soul.

Fortunately for Ramomar the language of science and spiritual knowledge was all encoded within the Art and Architecture of these cultures. He felt it was left up to the artist to preserve the knowledge through time until one day a future artist would pick up where they left off. Now with these revelations, Ramomar seeks to create a world collection of art celebrating the insights that all the cultures shared. His latest painting  "Founding Fathers" features George Washington founding father of the United States and Piankhi founding father of Kush/Nubia they are merged as one in the Orion Nebula. The Founding Fathers painting debut at 42nd Times Square in New York City on June 18 2012, in front of thousands of New Yorkers. The Art Takes Times Square Show is  the wave of the future, how Artist works will be displayed in this new  Globalized World.
